Vivaneers "Prepless" Veneers
Rapid Results
Vivaneers are a type of ceramic veneers that are placed directly over the teeth without grinding the teeth first. As thin as contact lenses, they can be an excellent option if you have sensitive teeth or thin enamel. Unlike regular veneers, Vivameers can be removed and adjusted.
Unlike traditional dental veneers, Vivaneers can cover existing dental work like dental crowns or dental implants. If they are appropriate for your smile make-over, Dr. Bursich can apply them in just two or three visits.
Traditional Veneers or Vivaneers?
For some of the above situations, porcelain veneers may be a better solution for you than Vivaneers. In many situations, porcelain veneers can be longer-lasting and more realistic in appearance. However, Vivaneers are less costly, and can be applied more quickly and with less discomfort.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure that utilizes a composite resin (tooth-colored material) to cover flaws in your teeth. A thin coating of bonding agent (dental adhesive) is applied to the surface of your tooth. Dr. Bursich will sculpt, color and shape the material to provide a pleasing result. A high-intensity light hardens the composite material and the surface is finely polished.
Dental Bonding or Veneers?
In most situations, veneers and crowns are better solutions for cosmetic work than dental bonding. Dental bonding is usually a less expensive solution, but it does not resist stains as well as crowns or porcelain veneers and is not as strong. Veneers are a better way to avoid stains or chipping.
