Dental Warranty
10 Year Warranty on Dental Procedures at McKean Comprehensive Dentistry
Our office believes that excellent dental work should last a very long time given regular visits to the dentist and the proper home care and diet. We also believe that our dental work is some of the best available in the world. We therefore offer our patients the following ten-year warranty on their porcelain restorations.
McKean Comprehensive Dentistry warrants patient’s dental work to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and wear. Our obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the restoration which is reported to us within the applicable warranty period and which, upon examination by the Doctor prove to be defective.
The 10 year warranty covers any material faults for porcelain crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays.
The local warranty does not cover:
- Chips or damage to the dental works due to gum issues arising from neither surrounding/adjacent teeth nor accidents.
- The local warranty also does not cover damage of dental work caused by or related to other dentists work done post treatment.
All repairs or replacement of porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers, porcelain onlays, porcelain inlays and porcelain bridges are warranted against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and wear for a period of ten years, with the following conditions:
- The patient has adhered to the full treatment and re-care recommendations of the provider, including the use of an acrylic bite appliance if in the treatment plan.
- Six month dental cleaning by the dental hygienist and examinations by our office are needed, so the provider can monitor the condition of your restorations. A more frequent visit schedule may be a part of your treatment based on your dental health.
- The restorations must not have been damaged or lost due to additional dental treatment by another party other than our office, trauma, bone disease or gum disease.
- There can be no outstanding balance on account for you or an immediate family member. The provider reserves the right to replace the failed restoration with a different material or procedure, as he deems necessary.
Disclaimers and what is not covered by warranty:
- Cash refunds for any treatment rendered.
- Failure or repairs resulting from acts of god, neglect, abuse, failure of supportive tooth or tissue structures, improper adjustments or improper dental hygiene.
- Incidental or consequential damages, including inconvenience, lost wages or pain and suffering. Additional required treatment on warranted teeth such as gum or nerve treatment.
