Meet Dr. Bursich

Dr. Bursich, DDS: Mc Kean, PADr. Thomas Bursich has maintained his general dentistry practice in McKean, Pennsylvania for more than 25 years, providing the greater Erie area with high-quality, gentle and comprehensive dental services. He is known by his patients for his competence and kindness, and in a patient survey he was given a 100% satisfaction rating.

During his many years as a practicing dentist, Dr. Bursich has continued to study the latest dental developments and techniques, ensuring that the care that he gives to his patients reflects both his years of experience and the state-of-the-art technology and treatment options.

Tom Bursich was born in Ptitsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1953. He graduated from Hampton Senior High School in 1971, and attended Duquesne University Pharmacy School. As a participant in the Thrifty Drug Student Aid program, Dr. Bursich spent each summer working in a different store and learning every facet of running a pharmacy.

After three years of successfully managing pharmacies, Dr. Bursich decided to enroll in Dental School, entering University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. After a residency program in Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh he opened his practice in Mckean in March 1984.

Dr. Bursich has this to say about his practice:

"The most important service that I provide patients is that of taking a patient from some degree of dental ruin, and helping them get healthy and functional. By helping them to overcome fear of pain and financial discomfort, I am able to help patients overcome years of neglect and suffering. I can restore their self-confidence and self-respect. We form a great team with our patients."

Caring about his community

Dr. Bursich feels very strongly about his ties to the greater Erie community. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Bursich has helped deliver dental care to senior citizens at retirement homes in the area, including Sarah Reed Retirement Center, Rondale, the Lutheran home, Springhill and Forestview. He has served 2 terms on the Board of Directors for the St. Paul's Free Dental Clinic, and has participated in staffing the clinic since its inception.

Dr. Bursich has been married to his wife, Sharon, for 34 years. They have two married daughters, Nicole and Stefanie, and three grandsons. Dr. Bursich's personal interests outside of dentistry are his family, Pittsburgh sports teams, and golfing.
